More Sharks in Sea Isle

Todd, Cliff and Jon had a great day shark fishing yesterday.  They had a thresher release a brown release, 2 thresher brake offs landed a Macko and wile gutting it had another macko swimming around the boat.  They also had Mahi around the boat several times.  The Macko after being gutted weighed in at 152 pounds and was 78 inches from the fork to the nose ( MMM good eating).  It ate a mackerel about 27 miles off the cost of Sea Isle City.  Congratulations Todd Cliff and Jon.   Shark fishing is in full swing so if you have not made a trip yet get out there.

Tile fish Sea Isle City

Big Mike from Philly was on a long range Tile fish trip the other day and stopped by to show off some of his catches.  Hear he is with real nice golden tile and a gray tile.  He said the trip was great catching golden tile’s gray tiles rose fish and even hooked in to a couple of wreck fish.  Needless to say he had a mess of fish to clean. After grabbing a new Dexter knife and a accusharp he got to cleaning even brought a bag of fish back for us.  The long rang trips can be very fun but you must be prepared with the rite gear and ready for what ever the sea may throw at you.

Still some stripers around Sea Isle City

Reed R from Medford was fishing with his buddy Drew last night in Townsends inlet when they hooked into a very nice striper for mid June.  It was 35 inches and 16.9 pounds.  There are still a couple of nice stripers around.  It looks like the nicer fish are starting to feed more at night.  As the waters around the island warm this time of year the stripers and weakfish get more nocturnal.  Good luck

Big threshers in Sea Isle City

Joe, Kelly, Frank, Mike and Tom Landed this BIG!!! Thresher shark last Sunday.  It was 90 inches from the tip of the nose to the fork in the tail.  We did not get a wait on it but the estimations are around 450 pounds.  After landing the shark they reliced 4 live babies from the shark all swam away healthy.
