Red drum

Anthony from Sea Isle City just stopped by to show of this nice Red Drum he landed and get his Weigh in card Punched.  The drum have been biting white curly tails on a jig head.  They have also been tacking live spot and mullet.  There have also been stripers and wekies in the lights at night.

Sea Isle Bait and Tackle give back.  We are giving you $10 store credit.  That’s write all you haft to do is pick up your punch card weigh-in six (6) fish and have your card punched each time and you will get a $10 in store credit.  That’s it rules are simple any game, pelagic, or exotic for south jersey fish and you are in.  One weigh-in per day.

Jersey Shore Striper Tournament

From LBI to Cape May Point & Including the Delaware Bay. Ocean, Back Bays, Bridges, inlets, etc....
Captain's Meeting to be held on Nov. 8th at the Lobster Loft in Sea Isle City. Daily Weighins to be held at Mike's Seafood in Sea Isle City from 7am - 7pm Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 7am - 2pm. Must be on premises by 2pm to be weighed in for the tournament. Top prize is awarded to the heaviest single Striper and cash prize to be awarded starting at $2,000.
Tons of door prizes to be awarded at the awards ceremony on Sunday Nov. 11th at 3pm in the Lobster Loft. There is a Bluefish sub catagory with cash prizes and also a youth striper division. IF interested more information can be found at Mike's Seafood and Lobster Loft. There will also be a 50/50 Calcutta for Autism Awareness.

Grease your reels

Don’t lose that big striper to a sticky drag or your reel freezing this year.  Bring them in for service to day.  All reels come very lightly greased from the manufacturer and should get a clean and lube regularly to prevent malfunctions and corrosion.  It is a small investment to keep your favorite reel ready for action ….  $20-$30 dollars for most reels to get a clean and lube. So bring it bye to day and maybe get some new line wile its hear.

2012 Harborfest

2012 Harborfest will be held  9/29/2012 11:00 am – 4:00pm.  In the marina district 42^nd st and Bay.  This is always a good time with great food, live entertainment and lots of goodies for sale.  So stop by the store and say Hi than head down the street to enjoy the festivities.

nj flounder season

Well folks leave it to the state of NJ…  My reading/understanding of the post from the state of NJ was not correct. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/news/2012/flndr_seabass_regs12-2.htm  The last day of flounder fishing will be FRIDAY 9-28-12.  NJF&G, NJDEP and the fishing counsel all need to have there YOU KNOW WHAT REMOVED FROM YOU KNOW WHERE……  They need to figure these regulations out and stop with this bull of changing in the middle of the season.  They also need to think a little more about the HUGE economic impact there regulations have on people.
