Flounder from Townsends Inlet Reef

Tom B with a 7 pound 2 ounce Flounder from Townsends Inlet Reef.  The flounder fishing In the ocean is really starting to pick up with customers reporting good catches from the GE Reef to Reef site 11 and every thing in between.  Gulp!, Mackerel and Squid have been the baits of choice.

Chris from Sea Isle City had a real good day fishing for less they 2 hours he had a 5pound and 3 pound flounder to show off.  He was using Gulp! and a buck tail. He said the bite was fast and furious with multiple throw backs also.  The flounder are biting well in the bay.

Eric C from Holland PA just stopped in to show off his catch of the day it tipped the scales at 3.3 pounds 22 inches long “ looks like he will be eating good to night”  The reports of flounder have been coming in steady all weekend with some people having as many as 42 throwbacks in a single outing.  But there have been some nice keepers mixed in.  The whether has final cooled off a bit so get out and hit the bay for some good fishing

Big Tog Lite Rod

Took my first day off in a wile and decided to head out fishing with a coupe of buddies.  And the fishing was hot we had a 4 man limit of sea bass several of witch where jumbos mostly taken of the jig with Gulp! on the high hook.  We also landed a mess of ling a couple of flounder and two Tog.  The one I’m holding was 9 pounds 1 ounce.  I was using a light wait G-Loomis rod a Quantum Boca 40 filled with 20 pound Power and it was a battle to get him to the top.  Even stranger was it bit on a jig a 3 ounce green and gold Jigfish from Got-Cha.  The best fishing is in deep water so go out and have some funn….
