Epic Blue Fishing Sea Isle City

Another epic day of big blues all around sea Isle city. Here is Chris with one of the very nice fish he had today the majority of the fish have been in the 10 pound range. People fishing the Back Bay the inlets and the surf have all reported big blues with some striped Bass mixed in. Mullet and mackerel have been the bait of choice and soft plastics have been the lures of choice. The weather looks great tomorrow.

I just attended a meeting regarding our beach fill project and here is the latest schedule. Please keep in mind that... this schedule is not absolute and can be delayed by weather and mechanical breakdowns.
1000’ sections (approximately 4 blocks) will be closed at a time as those beaches are being filled. This 1000’ section will be moving at approximately 1 block per day. The beaches adjacent to those blocks will remain open.
• Strathmere to 8th Street in Sea Isle City: Late June – Late July
• 30th Street to 8th Street (moving south to north): Late July – Mid August
• 30th Street to 52nd Street (moving north to south): Mid August – Early September
• 69th Street to 52nd Street (moving south to north): Early September – Early October
• 69th Street to 93rd Street (moving north to south): Early October – Early November
This is great news because this means that most of Sea Isle City will not be affected during the summer months! Here is a website where you find more information including updates on the schedule

Blue fish and More Blue Fish in Sea Isle City

The blue fish bite was hot again this morning.  It takes a real man to hold a blue fish tail in your mouth for a picture.  We never know how long these big blues will hang around so get out and get them.
