Charley and Amanda Pitts stopped by to show off there nice
catch of flounder Sunday after noon. The
biggest in the box was 4Lb and 9 ounces followed up by a nice 2Lb and 14 ounce

O.C. reef Door Mat....
Cheek out this 10 pound 30 inch flounder. Landed by Dusty Laricks of Sea Isle City at the Ocean City
Reef. He said the secret was a Hi hook
rig. Just a sinker on the bottom and
keeping the hook 3-8 inches off the bottom.
Squid and minnow combo was the food of choice for this doormat.. They
had good action all day with some other keepers and a bunch of throw backs.

Flounder fishing around ALL the local reefs
What a weekend… lost of good reports about the flounder fishing
around ALL the local reefs. Most customers
are buck tailing around the structure but regular flounder rigs will also work.
Using buck tails in the ¾ oz up to 4 oz rang depending on the speed of the
drift. Be shore to have plenty of buck tails
“if you aren’t getting snagged your in the wrong spot”. Tipping the buck tails with strips of squid, mackerel,
GULP and minnows all work well.

It’s the 4th of July…
It’s the 4th of July… The fishing has been good from the canyons to
the bay. Just yesterday we had some good
reports of flounder in the bay behind Strathmere. Triggerfish on ALL the inshore wrecks and
marker buoys. Flounder around the reefs
and hard bottom 2-8 miles out. Sharks 20-35
miles out with large seabass in that range also. Tuna with scattered white and blue marlin in
the canyons also. The weather is nice
and the fish are biting so before the fire works start get out and do a little fishing
