Lue from Media PA just stop in the show off his catch from TI this morning.  This nice flounder  was 24 inches and 5.Lb 5.Oz.  Wile the reports of flounder fishing in the ocean have been very good lately there are still some nice fish to be had in the back waters and the inlets. 

It’s the 4th of July…

It’s the 4^th of July…  The fishing has been good from the canyons to the bay.  Just yesterday we had some good reports of flounder in the bay behind Strathmere.  Triggerfish on ALL the inshore wrecks and marker buoys.  Flounder around the reefs and hard bottom 2-8 miles out.  Sharks 20-35 miles out with large seabass in that range also.  Tuna with scattered white and blue marlin in the canyons also.  The weather is nice and the fish are biting so before the fire works start get out and do a little fishing

Check out this crab.  It claws and legs are all white.

Crabbing has been getting better with many of the female dropping there egg sacks.  And coming off a shed.

It fathers day this weekend!!!!

It fathers day this weekend!!!!  It has been blowing NE all week and the fishing conditions have been a little tough and it looks like it may continue threw the weekend.  But that dos not mater to DAD he just wants to spend a little time with YOU…  So head out on the water this weekend for a little fishing of crabbing.  It not about what you catch its about the memories that can only be maid in the outdoors.

Team PIRAESEA

Team PIRASEA a boat/team sponsored by Sea Isle Bait and Tackle landed a very nice Thresher shark on Friday in the South Jersey Shark tournament.  Weighed in at 323 LBS…..  They currently have a strong hold of third place and hope to move up to day.  Lets wish them good luck to day and I will be shore to give you an update from to from the tournament as they come in.

Come join the FUN for Sea Isle City’s second annual Fish Alley Festival.

It will take place on Saturday, June 9th in historic Fish Alley, 42nd Place and the Bay from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Fish Alley festival will feature live music from numerous performers, fishing displays and demonstrations, vendors selling crafts and other items, displays from local civic organizations, great seafood and other tempting dishes, and plenty of family FUN.
