Big Thresher Shark In Sea Ise City...

The crew of the Soft Shell Don McMichael, Sean McMichael, Billy Blystone and Matt Buono just stopped in to show of there catch from this morning of a BIG thresher it was 73 inches from the tip of the nose to the fork in the tail.  Unfortunately we do not have an exact wait of the shark the scale at the store goes to 220 pounds and it bottomed out before we got the shark off the ground. I guess its time to get a bigger scale.  They where sharking about 30 miles out of Sea Isle City but I have had reports of nice sharks in closer.  Shark fishing is in full swing if you have not been out yet what are you whiting for.  Chum and mackerel have been flying out the door and as I have said be for it is best to call if you need a lot so we can special order it for you we can only carry so much.

BIG weakfish Trolling behind Sea Isle

Mike Gana AKA “ the Googen” decided top do a little trolling yesterday evening using bucktails with 6 inch GULP! Grubs  and out of know where this huge tide runner hit..   It was 32 inches and according the boga grip it was 10 pounds 2 ounces.   Catching stripers wile trolling the back is fun catching weakfish over 10 pounds wile trolling is absolute exhilarating.  The weakfish are still biting great mostly on soft plastics, Fly’s, mirrolure’s and some on shedder crabs.  I keep hearing how good the weakfishing is Up north well its been dam good down in Sea Isle…

Big flounder Sea Isle City

Hear it is the biggest flounder of the year so far.  Roy T. from Gibbs town with a 6 pound 13 ounce flatty taken on GULP! Be hind Sea Isle City.  He ended up with a limit all of witch where very nice healthy fish.  It looks like the warmer whether has really kicked the flounder in to full gear and the weakfish are also biting well.  We have live minnows, shedder crabs, clams and blood worms and all the frozen stuff you would expected

Big weakies in Sea Isle City

Lets stay thanks to all the veterans out there that have fought for the right to be free…..  Just got the picture in of Mike with a big weakfish gust over 8 pounds.  They also had some weakfish in the 5 pound rang with nice blues and some throw back flounder the bay is still hot and with the winds calming things are looking good for the back bay. 

More Stripers off the beach in Sea Isle City

The striper’s keep coming!!!  Check out Pat with this nice fish taken off the beach on SALTED calms..  Its going to be warming up over the next coupe of days and fishing should improve along with the whether.

Stripers biting in the wind

It was blowing a gale yesterday but who cares the stripers where biting…  check out Brian Gursky with this nice 14.3 pounder 35 inches long.  The bite is still going on so take advantage of the nicer whether coming in the next couple of days and go get yours..
